The Richens/Timm Academy is one of the most recognizable and respected names in the World of Irish dance. It is the most established and accomplished school in the central Ohio area with locations in Columbus (Dublin) and Dayton. The Academy also operates studios in Indianapolis and Tipton, IN.

Known for its outstanding success in the competitive arena, the Academy has produced more than 10 World Qualifiers each year over the past decade. Historically, individuals have accomplished:

• 45 Regional Champions
• 11 North American Champions
• 3 All-Ireland Champions with 2 Runner-up finishes

On the biggest stage of all, the annual World Championships, dancers from the Academy had the best finish from any Mid-American school in 2007, capturing 5 medals! Over time Richens/Timm dancers have won a staggering 35 medals, including 30 top 10 finishes; 13 top 5 finishes; 8 top 3 finishes; and 1 elusive World Championship title…

Dancers!

Dancers from the Academy entertain thousands annually including performances at the Dublin Irish Festival, Indy Irish Fest and various venues throughout the areas for each Academy location.

Students have also performed with bands such as the Chieftains, Natalie MacMaster, and Eileen Ivers of Riverdance fame. Several Academy alumni have gone on to professional careers touring with both Riverdance and Lord of the Dance and the list continues to grow! Beginners make their performance debut at the annual recital each spring.

Lessons
for
All Ages

Classes at the Academy focuses on all aspects of Irish dance. From solo to team, from children to adult, from social to competitive; there is something for everyone at the Richens/Timm Academy.

Introductory Workshops are conducted each year to provide both prospective dancers and their parents the opportunity to see if Irish dance is a good fit.
